30) Tour de l'Abitibi Desjardins

The Tour de l'Abitibi Desjardins, which exists since 1969, is the oldest cycling road race for men?s juniors (17 and 18 years old). It is sanctioned by the International Cycling Union (ICU), Cycling Canada and the Fédération québécoise des sports cyclistes. It is the longest race in this category in terms of time and distance with an average of 600 km (370 mi.) to cover during 7 stages over 6 days.

32) La Traversée internationale du lac Saint-Jean

The Traversée internationale du lac St-Jean, an open water swimming marathon covering 32 km between Péribonka and Roberval, is held annually on the last Saturday in July. Some 25 male and female swimmers from a dozen countries participate in this cult event, which requires an average of 7 hours of effort. Join thousands of spectators at the Roberval Wharf to give these great athletes a warm welcome!
